Day 4
After acclimatized to the high altitude in Leh for 2 nights, now it’s the time for us to move to another city. Tonight we’ll stay in Hunder, a city near Pakistan border. After breakfast, we and the new driver hurried to Nubra Valley and today we must pass one of the world’s highest motorable pass called Khardungla Pass which is located 5359 meters above the sea level. The weather forecast said that it would snow in Leh, but we didn’t see any snowflakes down here in Leh, except the high mountain around the city that was covered by the thick clouds and I think that there must be snow up there. Then, it started to rain when we went up higher to the mountainous road, the flurries came later as we drove to the higher level and at last the snow fell heavily after we nearly reached the pass.
หลังจากพักที่เลห์มาสองคืนแล้ว วันนี้เราก็จะออกไปเที่ยวที่ไกลๆกันต่อนะครับ คืนนี้เราจะไปพักกันที่ Hunder นะครับ ซึ่งอยู่ใกล้กับชายแดนปากีสถาน หลังจากกินอาหารเช้าเสร็จ คนขับรถก็มารับที่หน้าโรงเเรม ดูพยากรณ์อากาศบอกว่าวันนี้จะมีหิมะตก แต่บนที่ราบก็ไม่เห็นมีหิมะตกจนเราขึ้นไปถึงบนเขาสูงก็เริ่มมีฝนตกลงมา สักพักนึงก็เป็นหิมะปรอยๆ พอขับไปที่สูงขึ้นอีกหิมะก็เริ่มตกหนักมากขึ้น ไอ้เราก็ตื่นเต้นสิครับเพราะไม่ได้คาดหวังว่าจะได้มาเจอหิมะในฤดูใบไม่ร่วง แต่เนื่องจากเขาที่นี่มันสูงมากก็เลยเป็นเรื่องปกติที่จะมีหิมะตกตลอดทั้งปี เราดีใจมากที่มีหิมะตกลงมาโดยที่เราไม่รู้เลยว่าจะมีเหตุการณ์อะไรรอเราอยู่ข้างหน้า การเดินทางของวันนี้เราจะต้องข้ามเขาสูงเหนือระดับน้ำทะเลกว่าห้าพันเมตร และต้องผ่านถนนที่สูงที่สุดอันดับต้นๆของโลก นั่นก็คือ Khardungla Pass ที่สูงถึง 5,359 เมตรกันเลยทีเดียว

Since this motorable pass is really high, so we shouldn’t stop here for more than 10-15 mintues, but because of the heavy autumn snow, we had to stop here for almost two hours due to the traffic jam. When I was enjoying the snowfall, the unexpected thing happened to my buddy who always sat in the car with the closed window for too long because he didn’t like the cold weather. He couldn’t breathe and felt like to pass out, I was panic at that time and tried to get the oxygen, but we didn’t have any. He suddenly pulled off the buttons of his coat, opened the window and drank some water as suggested by the driver. Thanks GOD! he then felt a lot better and there was no more traffic jam, so we tried stop at the nearest village to have lunch and rest.
เนื่องจากว่า Khardungla Pass มันสูงมาก เค้าก็เลยไม่แนะนำให้จอดที่นี่นานๆเพราะอาจจะเกิดอันตรายกับชีวิตเราได้ นานสุดก็ไม่ควรเกิน 15 นาที แต่เนื่องจากว่าวันนั้นมีหิมะตกลงมาอย่างหนัก ทำให้การจราจรติดขัดและเราต้องรอให้รถที่มาจากอีกฝั่งไปก่อน ซึ่งมีทั้งหมดกว่า 50 คัน มีทั้งรถเล็กและรถบรรทุกทำให้เราต้องรออยู่บนนั้นนานถึง 2 ชั่วโมงอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ ก็เลยทำให้เพื่อนร่วมเดินทางของเรามีอาการหายใจไม่ทันคล้ายจะหมดสติ เพราะเอาแต่นั่งในรถที่จอดตายและปิดกระจกอย่างมิดชิด สุดท้ายก็รอดด้วยการปลดกระดุมเสื้อหนาว เปิดกระจกรถและค่อยๆจิบน้ำไปเรื่อยๆ อันนี้ขอเตือนทุกคนที่จะไปที่นี่นะครับว่าเราควรขยับตัวบ้างและอย่าเอาแต่นั่งในรถนะครับ อุตส่าห์บินตั้งไกลก็ควรออกมาเอ็นจอยกับธรรมชาติหน่อยนะครับ ไม่ใช่ว่าทุกคนมีโอกาสมาที่นี่เหมือนเรา ไม่ได้บ่นนะครับ ฮ่าๆๆๆๆ 😆😆😆

After we came down from Khardungla Pass, we stop at Khardungla village to have lunch and inhale enough oxygen here. The scenery was so breathtakingly beautiful that even I felt envy the cows in eating the grass in the vast field and I also peed in the middle of the field while enjoying the amazing view here.😅😅😅

After that, we went to our next destination near Hunder, it’s Diskit Monastery.

After spent some time here, we then drove the sand dunes in Nubra Valley which is the last stop for us for today.

After enjoyed playing the sand and riding camels here, we went straight to our hotel which was hard to find, I think that the driver pretended that he didn't know the way, I'll you guys later why. We came for a long way from Leh to here and many things happened today, we needed to go to sleep early because tomorrow we’ll go to another extraordinarily fabulous place which everyone dreams to come here once before they die. What is that special place? Tomorrow we’ll take you there. Good night folks!!!

Day 5
This morning we woke up so early because we needed to reach our next destination before noon to see that place at its best. After breakfast, we rushed to the highlight of this trip and that place is Pangongtso (班公错), tso means lake in Tibetan language. This amazing lake is located in India 40% and 60% in Tibet, China. If you have no idea what is Pangong Lake, please go and watch Bollywood movie “3 Idiots” because the last scene in this movie was filmed here and because of this movie, the lake became widely known and attracted million tourists from all over the world.
นอนเต็มอิ่มแล้ว ท้องก็อิ่มแล้ว เราก็ออกเดินทางไปทะเลสาบแปงกอง Pangong Lake กันครับ ซึ่งวันนี้เราจะต้องข้ามเขาอีกแล้วครับท่านและจะต้องขับผ่านถนนที่สูงที่สุดในลาดัก นั่นก็คือ Changla Pass สูงเหนือระดับน้ำทะเลถึง 5,360 เมตร

After waded through the stream, the mud and the stony road, we at last arrived at the lake that used to be the set location of “3 Idiots”. There are the benches and the vespa that appeared in the movie provided for the tourists to take photo, but it’s not free so I walked away when they asked me to pay. HAHAHA!!!

It was a long long journey today and we felt a bit tired and clod here, but we really had a happy time here enjoyed the majestic view at the bank of the lake and had a good talk with my buddy. That's all for us in Pangong, good night and tomorrow we’ll go back to Leh.
วันนี้เดินทางมาเหนื่อยๆก็ขอตัวไปพักผ่อนก่อนนะครับ เดี๋ยวพรุ่งนี้เราจะกลับไปเลห์แล้ว
